WASHINGTON, March 28, 2025 – The Money Out of Politics (MOP) Movement today formally announced its launch as a veteran-led, non-partisan, grassroots movement dedicated to eliminating corporate money and undue influence from American politics. Driven by a growing call for accountability, the movement advocates for tangible reforms to ban lobbyist gifts, end congressional stock trading, overturn Citizens United, and secure a constitutional amendment to restrict corporate money in politics. Legal registration is currently in process.

“America’s democracy has been hijacked by powerful special interests, and it’s time to reclaim our government for the people,” said Mayhem, the movement’s founder, whose identity is currently protected for security reasons. “Our commitment to restoring transparency and fairness in our political system is unwavering,” he continued.

Kat Wiggins, the movement’s Public Relations Lead, stated, “The MOP Movement brings together veterans, activists, and everyday citizens who are determined to end pay-to-play politics in the United States.”

The movement is currently organizing the March for Integrity, a peaceful demonstration expected to mobilize two million Americans, on July 27, 2025, in Washington, D.C. In addition to the national event, local actions are being planned at all 50 state capitals, ensuring communities across the country can participate in this pivotal moment for democracy. “The March for Integrity will send a clear message that the people will no longer tolerate a government controlled by corporate money,” added Wiggins.

Looking ahead, the movement is laying the groundwork for the Political Integrity Network, a coalition of like-minded organizations and watchdog groups dedicated to advancing the fight against corruption. This network will ensure that the movement’s goals remain a priority beyond the March for Integrity, driving long-term accountability and lasting reform in American politics.

More details will be announced in the coming months.
