WASHINGTON, Nov. 15, 2025 — The Money Out of Politics Movement (“MOP”) today announced its endorsement of Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib’s resolution recognizing the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza. The resolution, introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives on November 14, 2025, outlines extensive findings from international legal bodies, humanitarian organizations, and human rights experts, all of whom have documented the systematic destruction of Gaza’s civilian population and infrastructure by the Israeli government.

“As a non-partisan movement committed to restoring integrity in American governance, we cannot remain silent in the face of mass atrocities, especially when they are enabled by billions in U.S. taxpayer-funded military aid,” said Bobi Haley, executive director of MOP. “Congresswoman Tlaib’s resolution is grounded in irrefutable evidence, international law, and moral clarity. We are proud to stand with her.”

The resolution cites data from the United Nations, the International Court of Justice, and genocide scholars, asserting that the Israeli government has engaged in actions that meet the legal definition of genocide under the Genocide Convention. It further calls on the United States to uphold its own legal obligations to prevent and punish the crime of genocide, including halting arms transfers, investigating complicity, and supporting international accountability mechanisms.

Since October 2023, an estimated 67,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed in Gaza. The vast majority of civilian infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, water systems, and cultural sites, has been obliterated. According to UNICEF, nearly every child in Gaza now requires psychological support due to repeated trauma, displacement, or injury.

As a veteran-founded organization, MOP has always upheld the principle that U.S. foreign policy must reflect our nation’s highest ideals, not be driven by defense contractors or the pro-Israel lobby.

“The same corrupting forces we oppose in domestic politics are the ones pushing for endless war while silencing calls for peace and justice,” Haley added. “It’s not just morally indefensible; it’s a betrayal of democratic accountability.”

MOP calls on all members of Congress, regardless of party, to review the resolution’s findings with courage and conscience, and to act in alignment with international law and human dignity.
