As a Navy veteran, I took an oath to defend our Constitution and the principle of a government of, by, and for the people. Today, I am proud to stand with Money Out of Politics, a veteran-led organization, and continue that service by signing their pledge. Our government should work for working families, not corporate PACs, lobbyists, or billionaire donors. But for too long, we’ve seen politicians trade away their integrity and the needs of their constituents for a seat at a table funded by special interests. That is why my campaign is proudly 100% grassroots-funded: a movement powered by the people, not corporate PACs. I refuse to be bought, because my promise is to be a representative who is accountable to the people, not to corporate special interests. Signing this pledge is more than a signature; it is a promise. It is a promise to fight for real campaign finance reform, to demand transparency, and to work every single day to restore trust in our democracy. We cannot fix the crises facing our families, from the cost of housing and healthcare to the health of our planet, until we get big money out of politics.
